Robert J. Willis, M.D., F.A.A.P.

After high school, Dr. Willis enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1970 and was trained as a medical laboratory technician. This served him well as he worked in the medical lab at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MA all through college and medical school. He is a graduate of Springfield Technical Community College (1974) and UMass-Amherst, B.S. Microbiology (1976), and graduated from The University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA in 1980. He completed his pediatric training at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA in 1983. He practiced in Millinocket, Maine for 10 years before coming home to Ludlow in 1996. He has been the owner of Ludlow Pediatrics since 2000.

His professional interests include ADHD, asthma and allergies, obesity, and sports medicine, but he loves caring for babies, children and young adults of all ages through college. He especially likes to help parents learn how to handle their children without the use of force or hitting.

Dr. Willis lives in Wilbraham with his wife, Wanda. His three children (Amanda, Rachel and Benjamin) have now grown up and away successfully. His hobbies include photography, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.
